“You should change your password” he said with a smile, “It’s anyone’s guess.” Yes. He was right. A lot of my passwords are modifications of his name. I think this is true for most parents. We can’t help it.
Today I was at a showroom that had beautiful little curios and odd little things. I could almost hear him imitate me and say in a particularly exaggerated tone – “So pretty. No?” He took every opportunity to be light and happy. He saw the fun side of people and situations. There I go again….. Since he is in my thoughts, I bought 2 stylized statues of elephants sculpted in wood and metal, a big one and a baby one. Him and I. Just like his tattoo. They are pretty. 🙂 I look forward to placing them in my living room next to the mother and baby giraffe.
Well. I am here. I am extremely fortunate to have the life I have. There are so many things and people that I am grateful for that I don’t know where to begin. Everyday is an opportunity to grow and love and celebrate life and all its gifts.
As Douglas Dunn would say,
“Look to the living, love them, and hold on.”
